NEW // Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow

K so if you haven't bought the new Nars Dual-Intensity eyeshadows yet then I don't know what you're doing with ya life.  They came out about a few weeks ago and there is nothing else like them in the market. If you could see them in person you would want every single shade. The colors are outrageously eye catching, look amazing on. Whether you prefer a bold look, or a soft eye these shadows do it all.

There are three different ways you can apply the colors. Each technique you get a different result. *(refer to the last photo)

Dry Brush Application: for a sheer finish

Finger Application: for a more bold but soft touch of color

Wet Brush Application: for a deep luminous high-impact finish

The texture of the shadows make them even more exciting. They have a soft satin touch to them. Like a silky rose petal for real y'all. The shadows are not powders or baked, but they are poured into the tins making them unique in todays market.

Here's a photo of me wearing Europa and Cassiopeia

Sunday Cleanse

I always seem to be cleaning out my camera roll on my phone. Call me crazy, but I don't like having a lot of random photos in there. It's the OCD in me.
So I think every Sunday I'll post them here instead of deleting them. Basically these will be photos I see on Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Screenshots, or ones I happen to take myself. It's gonna be stuff that I get inspiration from or quotes that seem to hit home during that week. Oh and probably random stupid stuff that I happen to find funny as well.

Living in a tech savvy society where we are constantly seeing others lives through their photos. Sometimes we can get caught up in everyones business and life when we should be focusing on our own. It sucks that we can't call a friend up on the phone anymore or write someone a letter. When you can literally see how "picture perfect" life through our hand held device. I think these things make us much more distant from the people we care about especially if they are ones who are already long distance from us. Instagram and Facebook are awful tools in todays world, but yet a blessing at the same time. I mean WTF would I do without IG?!? Not gonna lie that app is addicting. It makes me sick how much I check it, but yet I love it when I discover new things and inspiring people on there. I just wish I had a little more self control. That's all super random, but hope you guys enjoyed.

Aztec Clay Mask |

Working in the Beauty industry I assume everyone knows how to clean their face, right? WRONG! People are really dumb or at least idiots when they come into the cosmetic department. I get the craziest answers when I ask customers "what's your skincare routine"?, "Do you exfoliate"? Their answers 50% of the time shock me. You would be surprised the amount of women who don't clean, or know how to clean their face properly. I'm getting into a whole other subject that should be addressed in another post. So I'm going to leave this at that for right now and show y'all something I've been dying to tell ya.

>>> The Aztec Secrete Indian Healing Clay Mask <<<

This stuff is life changing, well or at least face changing. I had a few friends suggest this product to me. Finally one day at Central Market I picked it up and used it that night. I regret not taking before and after photos of my skin #wtfmate. I know huge FAIL on my part, because I had some nasty pimples that miraculously reduced in size by 70%. No joke my skin was being really awful that week and this mask help clear it up a bit. I usually never see results right away with other masks. This one just gets me I guess.

Benefits and why you should be masking

-Moisturize
-Detoxify
-Replenish Nutrients
-Increase Circulation
-Reduce Blemishes
-Exfoliate
-Tighten Pores
-Reduce Puffiness
(ect...)

There are a million types of facial masks out there and I'm just telling you about my current favorite. This one removes the poisons and toxins in the epidermis. The mask basically lifts blackheads and pimples while its lifting these into the clay all the minerals are pushed into your skin. Did I mention there are over 50 minerals in the clay? Making this mask 100% natural which is good for you. #ovbi I just really love the fact that this mask works. It's hard to find quality products that do what they say.

How to use the mask?

You will need a small bowl and a spoon. Pour some of the dry clay mask into the bowl and add water OR apple cider vinegar and stir. I always use the apple cider over water any day. Only because it sounds more exciting than water. It will fizz when you add it to the clay. I like my mask super thick so I'm always adding more clay to  bowl to get the perfect thickness. Once it's applied I chill and relax for about 30 minutes. Then I remove the clay with warm water and a wash cloth. That's all folks! F.Y.I. I should mention that the mask will tingle and pulse when it starts to harden.

Oh and did I mention it's only $6.99

Victoria Secrete Sport

Received this uhhh-mazing package a few weeks ago via Influenster and Victoria Secrete. I am excited to be reviewing the new VS Studio sports bra.
To start out I will say that I am one of those girls who love to look pretty at the gym. So my sports bra games has to be on point. I big fan on colored bras and think its cute to have a fun bright color or pattern showing under your workout shirt. So when I opened the package and saw that I received a bright neon pink color I giggled inside. They also sent a 6 pack of their new colorful mesh socks.

Ok so I have like every color of those cheap $5 Forever 21 sports bras in my closet. I love them and all the colors except for the fact that I can't workout in them. Yeah their cute, but not very practical since they have ZERO support. When I tried on the VS studio bra I could tell instantly that it had 100% more support than the lousy F21 ones. It has just enough support where it wasn't too tight or uncomfortable. The fabric is stretchy and extremely soft. Great for movement and lots of activity when working out hardcore. It is now one of my favorite sports bras in my wardrobe.

First off how amazing are these colors? It's hard to find fun workout socks that don't squeeze the crap out of my feet. I love love love them and how they look peeking out of my shoes. They also come in another set of multiple colors.

B E E T L E

My love and creepy obsession for Beetles started at a young age. Back then we lived in the country (Greenville Texas). But the house I grew up in was surrounded by 50 acres. I mean we had it all. Horses, hay bails, a pond with it's very own tree house, and lots of wilderness to explore. With all the land came a huge amount of wildlife including bugs. I never was scared to pick up insects and play with them. This place was Heaven for a like Tom girl like myself. (believe it or not) I may be into really 'girly-girl' things, but I have a nerdy outdoorsy side to me. Beetles are rad because they can fly, they are pretty to look at, and have really cool meanings behind them.

What do beetles represent?

-Transformation/Rebirth

-Creativity

-Strength

-Travel

-Uniqueness

-Progress

-Solitary

I found a few site that were very helpful for me when I was researching beetle meanings. I got the below ones from:

The symbolic meaning of beetles also offers protection.  Their own hard shells do more than just convey glimmery beauty.  They protect.   And so, the beetle (in countless cultures, particularly Asian) is considered a symbol of protection

“Get to the root of your desire”

“Be practical in your expectations of progress”

“Find stability in simplicity”

“Anchor yourself in honest, true, natural ways”

I feel that each of these meaning apply to me in the best way possible. Making it an even more special piece of art on my body. I love how something so small can be so powerful.

So I searched the web some more and I found this description to be very insightful.

Beetles:
Beetles aid in transformation, metamorphosis, resurrection and rebirth - rebirth of the soul to a new spiritual ideal and renewed devotion. This animal teaches harmony in the coming changes by utilizing your intuitive abilities and teaches discernment where you need it the most. Beetles have a protective quality that will aid in the ability to socialize and communicate effectively by illuminating problems and situations in the correct perspective. Are you eating correctly? Now is the time to examine eating habits. Can you identify which stage of development are you in egg/larva/pupa/adult?. Is it time to fly or walk in life? Beetle will teach persistence with charm, trust in the process, proper movement and actions which allows the regeneration of your spirit to prosper.

It's not wonder why I deiced to ink my body with this magical little critter. I'm in love with it and how it turned out. Shoutout to Casey from Anchor Ink Tattoo for giving me the prettiest beetle I ever did see. Also to my bestie Tina for being there with me through the couple hours of pain. You da bestest girlfriend!!!

Heres a few photos during and right after.

Since these were taken right after my skin was swollen and bloody. I don't think I could of picked a more perfect location for my little love bug.
