D.I.Y. Dino Swag

I love dinosaurs. I really wish they still exist. You probably noticed from my last post the gold dinos chillin' in my photos. Recently I've been on a gold spray painting kick. I feel like I'm spray painting everything I see. So I decided to spray paint what I love. Dinosaurs. Once I did that I had the greatest ideal to put their heads on plaques.

What you will need:
Glue gun
Gold spray paint (Walmart)
Plastic dinosaurs (Walmart 25 cents)
Sponge brushes (Michaels 49 cents)
Wooden plaques (Michaels $1-3)
Martha Stewart satin acrylic craft paint ($1.99)

Got your dinos/zoo animals? Good. Now spray paint them gold, or whichever color makes you happy.
They will then look like this. Sweet huh? FYI you can buy the animals at the dollar store, but Walmart sells them for 25 cents each. They are bigger too.

Now use your brushes and paint your wooden plaques. You can get really creative here. I used three different colors on mine. The pink is called 'Blubblegum' the orange is 'Wild Salmon' and the blue one is 'Beach Glass'. They are all from the Martha Stewart collection at Michaels.

Here's what they'll look like all painted.

Use some scissors and cut your dino's. Make sure you have some quality craft scissors. Once you're done hot glue their head or back onto the painted wooden plaques. And vaalahhh your done. #dinoswag

Do you love spikes? Would you do anything for spikes? I would, but that's just me. I recently found the most amazing black shoulder spiked pleather jacket. It was so much DRAMA to get it, but I bought it and it's mine forever! Literally, it's from Forever 21. I spotted it while on my lunch break. Dazzling on a mannequin in the center of a window. I fell in love. Unfortunately I was running late back to work and had to leave it behind. I was starting to feel guilty for not buying it, so I grabbed my wallet and headed back. Knowing that they never take items down from windows. But for some reason I was feeling determined. Once inside Forever 21 it took me 10 min just to find somebody who could help me take it down. Well apparently only managers can take product off mannequins. That took me another 5 minutes to find a manager. When I found her she was super dramatic about taking down the jacket for me. But I begged and begged and finally she gave in. #puppyeyes The best thing was that it was the last one left and it was only about thirty dollars. #winning Anyways this is my first fashion post hope you enjoy!

I think you guys should know my absolute favorite Philosophy products. Seriously. There is one thing I can't live without. It is my Philosophy Microdelivery purifying peel. It is simply the best blemish remover. It works fast and helps minimize pimples. I prefer to use it overnight. Before I go to bed. First I wash my face, put on my night cream (Trish McEvoy even skin Vitamin C Cream), then I simply apply less than a drop onto a pimple or over where I'm most likely to breakout. I always notice a huge difference, especially in the morning. The blemish will reduced in size also in redness. You can also apply it ontop of makeup if you get a random zit. Just barely press a tiny amount for on the go. The tube I have which is in the photo below is about half way full now and is only 0.4 oz. I got it free in a gift set about a year ago. #travelsize That's right a little goes a long way. It's technically an enzyme peel, but I use it as my secret pimple disappearing weapon. #pow

This is what it really looks like (left). $40 for 3 oz can you imagine how long that would last you?  You can also buy them in pad form for $35.

The last two things I cannot live without is their lotions. My two favorite scents are 'Falling In Love' and 'Amazing Grace'. My mom will buy AG in bulk from Amazon. She loves her some. She gets so many compliments when she wears it. Which is like everyday. The two lotions are very different from each other. Falling In Love is more of a sweet sugary type of fragrance, while Amazing Grace is more of a clean fresh scent. Either way you can't go wrong. They are both $34 for 16 oz.

You can buy these products from Nodrstrom online. Or even better, from me. You can call me at Nordstom Northpark Center in Dallas at 214-231-3900 ext: 1411 (ask for Caitlin). We can place an order over the phone, or you can come in and see me in person.  You won't regret it #promise, I'll even hook you up with samples galore and a free quick makeup touch up!
P.S. shipping is always free and is 3-8 business days #whodoesntlovefreedollars

Long hair don't care

So I got some new extensions...
18 in' and I'm in love.
I've been wanting to do something totally crazy to do my hair, but don't think I have the guts. I'm obsessing over my niece Mackenzie's hair which is in the bottom left photo. She got it done earlier this summer, and the pink looked awesome. I was pretty jealous. But I'm really loving the purple on Lauren Conrad in the bottom right photo. Not sure if hers is real life, or photo shopped. Either way it's phenomenal.
I've been pinning on Pinterest A LOT lately and have come to the conclusion that I'm going to make a flower crown. They are so pretty and perfect. So any gil's wanna come over and have a craft day #Imdowntoclown.
So for now my big bow hair will have to do. It's the most simple way to dress up dirty hair or it's a quick fix when you sleep in and are running late to work. (which is me almost all the time) All you do is throw your hair up in a top knot and add a fancy headband! I got so many compliments that day too!

Before && After

Hello loves. My brother's adorable fiance has asked me to do her wedding makeup. So saturday we had our first trial run. I'm so honored that she has asked me, but not surprised. Basically because I'm the greatest. So she really wanted a fresh faced natural wedding makeup look. So that's what I did! Here is the before and after. Isn't my future sis-n-law amazing? Yeah, she thinks so too. #runsinthefamily

Ha she's just baskin' in the makeup. #lovinit
